Venezuelan Military and Government Websites Hacked by #Anonymous

Hackers of Anonymous Venezuela have breached and defaced several websites of the Venezuelan government and military.

The list of targets includes the websites of the Bolivarian Military Technical Academy (etm.mil.ve and atmb.mil.ve), the Directorate General of Military Counterintelligence (dgim.mil.ve), the portal of Paez Hydrologic of the Ministry of the Environment (hidropaez.gob.ve), the Municipal Police of Vargas (policiamunicipalvargas.gob.ve), and the Aragua Police (policiadearagua.gob.ve).

In addition, the hacktivists have defaced the website of the University of Falcón (udefa.edu.ve), and the one of a non-profit organization called AVEGID (avegid.org.ve).

It’s worth noting that on the website of the University of Falcón, the hackers have placed a web-based DDOS tool that’s set up to attack the site of the Currency Administration Commission (cadivi.gob.ve), which is currently offline.

The attacks represent a form of protest against the country’s government.

At the time of writing, all of the websites are still defaced.
