Weev Tells Federal Government To “Bring It”
After having his CFAA conviction vacated on Friday on the grounds that the venue was improper, Andrew “weev” Auernheimer is prepared for a second round in the courts if the government decides to refile charges in another jurisdiction.
"I’ve already informed my attorney, Tor Ekeland, that he’s not to file a motion to dismiss it via double jeopardy," weev told interviewer Ricky Camilleri on Huffington Post Live.
"I’ve sacrificed three years of my life to overturn this unjust law, and I didn’t do this to get a venue decision. The government should come litigate again. I’ll risk prison again to do this once more. It’s a terrible law…
"This particular case is so utterly seditious. The idea that anybody can be arbitrarily prosecuted for accessing public web resources is monstrous. It really is. I have the best case to fight it. Come bring it Federal Government."

Barrett Brown’s detractors frequently claim that he threatened violence against an FBI agent and/or his family, and some cite this as a main reason why they cannot support him. They repeat this mantra uncritically, despite the fact that it’s directly contradicted by the evidence. They point to a YouTube video he posted which led to his arrest. While perhaps ill-advised, his actual words in that video are much more nuanced and don’t support the claim. As with any charges in which free speech is implicated, there is always a very high bar to prove a threat of physical harm, and this case does not meet the test.

War on Anonymous: British Spies Attacked Hackers, Snowden Docs Show
The Snowden files: British intelligence agency describes attack on Anonymous.
GCHQ, the British signals intelligence agency, prepared the following slides for a top-secret conference in 2012, revealing that it had mounted an online attack on the hacktivist collective known as Anonymous in September 2011.
The slides were leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden and obtained exclusively by NBC News.
NBC News is publishing the documents with minimal redactions to protect individuals. All annoyayions appear in the original documents prepared by GCHQ.
